I have mild placenta previa and my midwife told me I can't lift anything over 10lbs including DS, (who is three and close to 40lbs lol) but if he stands up on the bed or couch its okay for me to carry him.
Well he was just running and slipped on the tiles and fell down and was crying so I asked my mum to pick him up and put him in my arms and she starts yelling at me that I can't hold him or anything.
So now I am confused.
I can still hold him right?
i would get down to his level and cradle him. i do this with logan, as long as you arent straining or trying to actually carry any weight it should be okay right?
If your doctor cleared it, you *can*, but I would personally sit down to hold him.
I was told not to heavy lift my ds is 45lbs but I do what you said from time to time but I will not lift from floor but I wouldn't suggest it
Don't pick him up as in lifting his weight but you can get down to his level to hug him, snuggle him, ect.
I wouldn't hold him even being lifted into your arms if carrying him puts strain on you.
nope, holding him is still "lifting" his weight, if your sitting you can cradle and snuggle him, but you can't be holding all of his weight in your arms like that.
Normally I get down on his level and snuggle him until he's ok.
I miss carrying him, I still did all the time, I love carrying him lol. When he was a baby I never put him down.
He is taking it much better than I am.
