Question: Does this sound like a reaction to food?

Story: LO is 9 months in a week and has been on solids (cereal and baby food) since 7 months. Last night we gave her a new food - it was "Pear Pineapple" from Gerber (what we always use). She's never had this 'flavor' before. She fell asleep for the night about 20 minutes later and everything was fine. This morning she woke up with a rash around her mouth that went up to her cheek area. Red pimply type rash. Her eyes were puffy too, but aren't now.
If this sounds like a food allergy, does it require medical attention?

Bad picture, but all I could get. This is what her mouth looks like:

I believe pineapple is one of the foods to wait until 1 for because it is so acidic

Okay. So would it be okay to try again when she's older and can have real pineapple?

Weird. It's stage 2.

I think so. Just give it awhile. She's still very young, so you have lots of time to introduce her. My son is 2 and there are still some things that are just too acidic for him.

Yeah because they technically can have it but its like something that may or may not be too acidic for LO.

It sounds like a food sensitivity, but that's weird that the effects were still there for that long :?
