Disney shows like ICarly, Shake it up Chicago, and the like? My co workers daughter loves those shows and we were discussing today wether they're appropriate or not for a 5 year old. She would prefer her daughter not watch them but she just loves them.

I would if she liked them (they annoy the hell out of me) but luckily she begs me to change it when they come on. :)

I don't have a 5 year old daughter yet but I do have a 6 year old son that loves drake and josh. I really don't see a problem with letting her watch them.

My 5yr old daughter has watched iCarly, I've never heard of the other shows you mentioned. She's not a "fan" of real people kinda shows, she prefers Spongebob and Phineas and Ferb

If one of those shows comes on she might watch them but usually she'll ask if we can turn sponge bob or something like that on instead. I don't not let her watch them though, I think they are fine.

I have sat in the room with my 4 year old DD while she watches them, they're appropriate IMO. I mean, she doesn't even like them as much as cartoons anyway, but I haven't seen anything I didn't like so far.
