How can I get DD to open her mouth more for nursing? She did great at first but it's starting to get my nipples very tender where she just doesn't want to open wide. I tickle her nose and try to get her latched as soon as I can as my milk comes out very quickly. In the hospital they used sugar water and a syringe on my nipple but I don't have that. Thanks in advance!

While using the c hold gently push down on baby's chin with the back of your finger while getting baby to latch. Also, if baby makes eye contact while latching open your mouth up wide. Even as newborns they mimic facial expressions.
