my baby was due march 30 2013 i went to labor march 1st & had him on the 2nd . he weighed 6pounds & 4 oz. doctors said he was ok & i got to take him home a day latter. but sometimes it seems like he has a hard time breathing bc he takes large gasps as im breastfeeding. it only happens when im feeding him though .. should i be worried?

It may just be grunting or let down. If you're worried get your pedi to check his sat's at his next appointment.

I'm not sure what it is but DS did the same thing as a newborn. He would never do it around the pedi and never quit breathing so we never found out what it was. I'd talk to your pedi about it.

My daughter chokes on my let down if it's too fast. She gulps, and starts coughing a little, and then takes a big breath from coughing. Your let down is probably more than he can handle.
