What car should I buy? SMBC**TTC#3 TTC since Jun 2013; 2 kids; California 17897 posts

I'm thinking in December I will buy a car... I'm not too sure what I want. I like the 4 door fiat's (ideal), but I can't imagine spending $15,000 on a used car without knowing the history of the company/vehicle. It needs to be AT LEASt 30 mpg and maybe around 15,000? Low maintenance costs.... 4 door.... any idea? I have 1 child and just me.

I paid just over 15k for my Nissan cube. It averages 30 mpg, is super comfy, and has a cvt tranny which means it is zippy when you need it to go but gets awesome gas mileage. If you don't like the goofy look, the Nissan Versa is basically the same car, and its a few grand cheaper, my sister has one and it was abround 13k.

I love mine. It's a 2008,got it brand new and it is pretty awesome on gas. I even have 2 car seats in the back seat.

I just got a 2010 santa fe. I love everything but the gas mileage.

Other than that, I would go Honda all the way. I've had 2 honda civics and both of them were super troopers, and super cheap to maintain. Not to mention you can get 200,000 miles on them with awesome gas mileage.

I will be getting a CX-9 sometime next year. I have an RX-8 right now. My mom just got a new CX-9 last month and I really like it. My mom has owned some type of Mazda since the mid 1980's.

I'vd had 3 nissans, and have never had any problems. I just got my inspection done on my cube, and the guy at the dealership said I will totally get my moneys worth out of that car. You should test drive one :). They are fun!

The Fiat has the WORST crash test rating.

I'm all for Hyundai or Honda! I have an 11 Hyundai Elentra and I looooooove it. Good on gas too.

They have really good warranties too right? 10 years or something?

Hyundai? Yup. Super cheap to fix too though, I haven't had any problems and the car has been through 2 accidents  still running like it's new
