Quoting [Gryffinwhore♥]:" Aw man, I'm sorry! I hate sharing the bed with my kids. I never sleep well! It should be illegal, the amount of sleep a mother doesn't get. haha. "

Husband promises that when we have another one, he'll get up 50% of the time and do diaper duty in the mornings, too.. I'm like  yeah okay, I won't be taking bets..

Wouldn't that be a perfect world? Lol I'd marry him all over again if he did that.

I don't hear my DD when she wakes up either and it has been like that since she was small. :(

Quoting Draco'sStalker:" i usually think, "i'm just gonna lay here and chill watching tv with her" and then suddenly i'm waking up? btw, i like the name Nika!"

Thank you :)

It's short for Dominika - looks a bit odd with that spelling, but we're actually Russian, with Asian and Eastern European roots, so I wanted to incorporate that into her name.. albeit I must admit, I wasn't particularly expecting to move to the US in a couple of years lol life is odd that way

Also - OP, I'm sorry you thought you were going to get bashed!

Seriously, any mother who says this hasn't happened to her at least once.. lol well.. must be still pregnant or something. I really believe that everyone has this happen -at least- once!

The English equivalent is actually Dominique, but over the years, I've sort of got used to her being 'Dominika' and so has she, so we just let her be when we moved, if she wants to change it to Dominique when she's a reasonably responsible age, we'll see what we can do

I'm thinking of sleeping in her bed tonight while she is hogging mine

Ya know, with Gaga .. it's kind of volatile that way, but like I said, it'd be so hypocritical, because we're all parents here, and we all get tired.

Heck, I'm tired now.

so it's not actually pronounced with the "uh" on the end? i think it's prettier.

I've been in a bunch of those. Heck, I've been the one bashed before and it's like .. chill out, dude.. I didn't know this website was your life.

How old is your little one? Sorry if I missed it somewhere

And we pronounce it as 'Do-mee-nee-kuh' instead of the French form of 'Do-mee-neek'

i hear it Dom-e-neek. i like the other more!

i made some mistakes that i didn't realize were bad, and got jumped on. i'm like "if you would have just worded it nicely, that would have been great." oh well, life goes on.

She is 10 months 1 wk.

Ya know, everyone says that - but it does get easier. Soon she'll start wetting herself less and less at night, and it won't be quite as tragic in the mornings, or maybe you guys get try night time diapers? We didn't have those in Russia, so I never tried them, but people speak highly of them

People are overly sensitive when they choose to be, but at the same time, total b***hes when they see fit. I feel bad for Barbie and her thread, although I've never had beef with Jamie, I think Barbie cannot help getting as upset as she does, and clearly.. she cannot just log off and 'go do something else', Gaga is probably the only place where she feels she has friends.

Having said that, I don't believe that I can be not critical of how easily she starts insulting people, even when they are not being mean to her, so I just exited the thread because if I tried to explain that to her, she'd not understand and it'd just turn into drama and get her all the more upset

i know. i like her but she get's heated. all i've ever seen is Jamie do is be a snarky b***h... i'm sorry but it's true. i can't think of once that i haven't seen her not be. if i had, i'd admit it.

i've noticed some get jumped on and some get pitied. i think if you have more friends on here, you get less bashing (with a few exceptions of course. lol)

your not a bad mom at all. there was a few times when my 6 month old was waking up every 20 mins at night. He would wake up and i would just hand him a bottle in the crib and go back to sleep. he would wake up in the morning soaked cause i was so tired to even change his diaper. Some morning when my 2 year wakes up at 7am and my 6 month old is still sleeping i will go lay out on the couch and fall asleep while my 2 year old is watching tv and eating breakfast.
