What is your kids security item or comforting thing to do when tired and going to bed.
Like thumb sucking, twisting hair, a blanket or stuffed animal etc.....

My oldest is going to be 11 in June and still sleeps with her winnie the pooh blanket (sometimes) she brings it to sleepovers etc.....(not always but she does)

My middle dd will be 5 in July and she is strange lol she sucks on tags (her taggies) as she calls it, and has since she was 1 month old. lol she never sucked her thumb or had a soother etc.....but she takes the tag of any toy pillow blanket even clothes or mitts hats etc....(you get the point lol) and puts it folded in half almost between her lips and kinda sucks it or rubs it on her lips to comfort herself or to go to bed. Its really weird (IMO)

So I happened to ask her why she did it (if there was a reason ) this was her answer.
So people cant snore or breath in my mouth. lol I am like ok!

But I thought about it a little, and she hates fans and the heat on in the car, she hates if you are sitting beside her or laying with her if you are facing her, she complains she cant breath, cause your (mouth air) what she has called it since like 2 is going on her face. So in her eyes the tag prevents this from happening. lol She makes you face the wall if laying down with her so you cant breath on her.
I know it started way before she knew why she did it, but its really odd. lol

Anyway, what are your kids security items, and do you think I should break her of this habbit, she turns her shirt around sometimes at school or out in public when ppl are talking to her (so they cant breath in her mouth) lol

DS is only 8 months old but he has his taggie blanket that he NEEDS lol. He loves it. And then at night when hes sleeping with me he will crawl up to my pillow, put his head on it with his arm underneath and rub the material of the pillow case between his fingers... I do the same thing.

DD would chew/suck on tags to everything. (not so much in the last few wks.)

she has always loved my hair and likes to "eat" it while going to sleep. that's about it.

My 5 year old used to have a silky beanie toy that looked like a marshmellow peeps that she carried everywhere, and she would suck her thumb and hold it next to her mouth. We had to take it away though at around 3 because it was causing a rash around her mouth and no matter how many times I washed it, it was still dirty. She sucked her thumb till 4 I believe and she kind of broke herself of that. My 4 year old has had several stuffed animals that she loves but none that she had to have really. And my almost 10 month old has a little taggie blanket that she has to have to sleep and carries all over.

My oldest (3 1/2 years old) twist my or DH hair while tried or falling asleep. Did this since he was about 6 months. My youngest (1 year old) HAS to have his hand on my breast or be wrapped in a cozy blanket.

I bought it when I was pregnant with her, before I even knew what I was having because I thought it was cute! If I knew she was going to have to bring it every where and sleep with it every night, I would have got two!
