My 3 year old son has always held a small toy (not one in particular) in his hand ALL day and ALL night while he sleeps since he was about 6 months old. He gets so attached to that one item and will get really upset if it's misplaced. Now that he's a little older he doesn't always have something in his hand but still most o the time, especially if we leave the house he will definitely have something.

I can't wait till he's old enough to explain to me WHY he has to do that lol. Today it's this spongebob ring. He had a mini panic attack when he thought he lost it.
