Going into labor early! Yikes! Rogue and Conner's Mummy 2 kids; 3 angel babies; Redcar, United Kingdom 177 posts

I woke up this morning around 3 am (29 March 2013) having slight contractions, so naturally I was worried. Woke my husband up and told him that I was having contractions so off to the hospital we went. They gave me medication that stopped my contractions and now I am on strict bedrest until at least 38 weeks. Because of us having lost three babies before, two never born, and one passed away of SIDS, I'm extremely worried that we will lose this baby as well.

I'm 26 weeks along now, and thank you, I really appreciate it. Being only 19, this is a very extremely scary thing to be going through AGAIN.

If I was 40 I think that would still be scary to go through! I hope your baby bean keeps baking for a while yet

I am so sorry for your losses and I wish you all the best in keeping your baby in as long as possible. I couldn't even imagine losing one of my children to SIDS but I was always scared bc science is proving it could be genetic and my sister died from it at 2 months and my dad's cousin died from it too. I know what you're going through with PTL though bc I went into PTL at 27 weeks with my son and had to be on strict bedrest and meds and shots just to keep him in. Good news is though that he stayed in till 37 weeks so there IS hope. And my SIL had her son at 28 weeks and he's fine too. It's NEVER good to go into PTL though bc you just never know what's going to happen bc every person's situation is different. Just listen the dr and keep well rested. Also make sure you go in to be checked regardless if you feel something is off! Better to be safe than sorry. :)

Thank you love xx My husband and I really appreciate all the kind thoughts coming our way. It was really rough losing our daughter, especially since we had grown to love her so much in those short 6 months we had her. She was born preterm at about 28 weeks. It's been a little over two years since her passing.
It really scared me this morning because since our daughter was preterm and passed away, I'm worried that we will lose our little boy. My husband was supposed to go away for a short vacation to visit some family in early June, but he has canceled now because of my being on bedrest. Just staying hopeful.

No problem. :) Aww that's sad. Well nobody can say what will happen just because of a previous tragic incident but if he is born premature, it doesn't necessarily mean he is doomed to pass away too. Miracles happen. All you can do is be positive and try not to stress over things just yet.

Thank you so very much we appreciate it. My doctor said if I can make it to at least 36 weeks I should be alright but that is 3 months of bed rest
