so im about 9 weeks pregnant and me and my husband are thinking of names we are really hoping for a girl this time around lol.Anyway i absolutely LOVE the name Guinevere however due to my last name 'Arthur' i feel she would be teased in school :/.My husband feels the same (but he is iffy on the name anyway) But my family all say it would be fine most kids probably wouldn't even know about the legend my grandmother even went as far as to say her middle name should be Anne so if you say it fast enough it sounds like your saying Guinevere and Arthur lol.Anyway since I'm on the fence I'd figured id ask on here since you always get brutally honest answers on here :D

I don't think she would be teased, buuuut it would be hard to pronounce.

I really really dislike the name Guinevere! I knew a Guinevere and she was made fun of a lot, doubt it was because the name though lol

If my mom named me Guinevere I'd probably end up changing it later on in life lol

I have a friend whose oldest daughters name is Guinevere. Another friend named her daughter Genevieve. I don't see anything wrong, they're old fashioned, beautiful names.

she would go by Gwen mostly so i dont think pronunciation would be to big of a problem my kindergartener can say it without a problem :D.I love the name and the elegant feel to it I'm just worried about it clashing with the last name

I personally think it's cute, and so what if people think it's from the legend? They'll get over it, if they even make the connection.

I like it. I'd use it. I also like Gwendolyn.

There are far too many names out there that shouldn't be used, I figure Guinevere is a safe choice.

Love and plan on using it, most likely in the middle.
