I think in general they really just want you lifting your baby for the first few weeks. Usually here they say 15 lbs (probably to be safe since some babies are chunkers). And really, you shouldn't HAVE to be doing much more than that in the first few weeks, you know?

yeahhhhhh cuz my 3yo was 9 1/2 lbs at birth and was like 15lbs by his 2 mos check up



at his 4 mo check up he was 19 lbs.
