@ 24weeks, your baby is mostly formed I wouldn't think that taking it will affect development much if at all

Who gave the rx? they know your pregnant right?

This isn't from me personally but from a very good friend, my children's godmother. She took 100mg of Zoloft from the end of her first trimester and through her daughter's first year of bfing and her daughter is very normal and a super huge sweetheart. Her only issue is that she has some anxiety issues but they told her that that has absolutely nothing to do with the Zoloft. She also took a 50 mg dosage throughout her pregnancy with her son a few years later and he is also normal and has no anxiety issues.

Yes, my new OB gave it to me and said she can't guarantee no issues for baby. Honestly in my situation the benefits outweigh the risks so I am really hoping to try it but I am scared of it affecting my son badly. I don't think anything would hurt him more than my outbursts though. I get so angry that my stomach clenches.

I took it, still do actually. My son was healthy and born at 36w 5d. (due to pre e) i will say though, my son was just diagnosed autistic. I am not saying the zoloft had anything to do with the autisum, but i also dont know.

Ok in response to these I will say that with my DD (first baby) I took like25mg of zoloft for maybe 2 months at most in the first trimester...we are going back for a second autism evauluation. I am so stressed on what is best for me and everyone in my household including DS2...I just don;'t know.

I was taking 50 mgs cut in half, so 25's. I took them when I was pregnant with #2. He's going on 7 and besides being very hyper(maybe ADD but his school wont test him til hes in 2nd grade) he's fine. However, I stopped taking it when I was pregnant with #3. I didnt feel like I was benefitting from it and we had a DS scare with #3

I think I have decided to take it and request an ultrasound of his heart around 33 weeks or so to be safe. I have been reading reviews here and elsewhere on the internet all morning and it sounds like it really may help me. I also noticed that moms who took it in the first trimester were frequently the ones who's baby had an issue. Since I'm already almost 25 weeks, maybe I am in a "safe zone"? Anyhow, thanks for the responses ladies. I will be sure to update.
