So this is going to sound really stupid coming from someone who has previously had 4 other children... but my water has NEVER broke on it's own... How can you tell if your water is leaking? I have been having sharp pains in my stomach all morning, and I have been resting as I should, but when ever I stand up I feel a little wet, go to the bathroom and my panties are wet. when I am sitting I don't feel this... could I seriously just be leaking urine? Or should I call the DR? I am only 26 weeks as of today. Help?!
You could be pissing yourself or you could be leaking. I would call your DR, just for real advice. they may want to swab and check.
watching, having similar issues at 35 weeks
I was always told to put on a pad and lay dor for an hour and see if it keeps on. but you should call your OB to see what they think
Does it smell like pee?
Put on a pad and if it is filled up within an hour, call the on or if it is "sweet" smelling.
I called my Ob who said it could very well just be urine but that they don't like to mess around and they want me to go to the hospital. My husband just left but as soon as he gets home in the next 45 minutes or so... I will be heading out.

Well good luck momma!! We're due the same day!
I've leaked twice and it's really hard to tell, I ultimately just say get checked out if you're concerned, it's worth it. One trick I use is to lie down for 30 minutes to an hour and if you get a small gush when you stand then it's worth checking on. Good luck!
No leak.. thank goodness... The nurse said it could be excess urine... it didn't smell or look like pee but whatever. Dr didn't even want to see me... although the nurse did check for dilation and the opening of my cervix is "very soft" as the nurse put it... But if the Dr isn't concerned then I guess I shouldn't be either.
