So I had spotting last week. And the Dr said no sex for 2 weeks or anything in the vagina due to spotting.. has anyone else ever been told this and listened or did you get back to it the next week?? I want my baby safe. But my insane impulsive over active c**t and bf says other wise.. I know y'all aren't Dr's. Just wanting some thoughts from you other ladies. Ive been waiting 3 weeks already cause I had spotting the week before last aswell. And this baby has my hormones all out of whack. My sex drive was high before. But now its through the roof. Anything helps. Lol

I wouldn't... The doctor doesn't tell you not to do some just for shits and giggles...

Why don't you just stick to oral/vibrator?

well i mean...i don't always listen. i'm on pelvic rest until next thursday and im not sure ill last. but usually they do recommend it for the safety of your baby...so you decide if you want to take that risk,

I wouldnt do anything personally. You know that orgasms can bring on contractions, right?

Listen to your Dr, and ignore your c**t and bf. What's more important? Baby? or Sex?

I bleed... More than spotting. . Every time I have sex. Dr says it's just a sensitive cervix and increased blood flow and that its normal. I was never told not to have sex.

However if your doctor told you to abstain it must be for a good reason.

You're pregnant? Then no, I wouldn't risk my baby for anything.

Also, what are you going to do after you have the baby and they say no sex for 6 weeks?

Well I know why you can't have sex for 6 weeks after you have a baby. Im just going to wait till the 2 weeks is up. I was just curious. I didn't have sex but once on my first pregnancy. Nor did I have any sort of bleeding or spotting so this is new to me. Just gonna stick to the vibe for now. Thanks for a reality check ladies.

Quoting kayleighgirl2:" So I had spotting last week. And the Dr said no sex for 2 weeks or anything in the vagina due to spotting.. ... [snip!] ... And this baby has my hormones all out of whack. My sex drive was high before. But now its through the roof. Anything helps. Lol"

Yeah um...definitely not. There's a reason they tell you not to and it's always for the safety of the baby. With my son, I had to go 2 and a half months plus 2 weeks after my c section bc I had bad PTL and the baby was at risk. My SIL had the same exact risk, chose to have sex and she ended up having her baby at 28 weeks and he was in the NICU for two months. So yeah....never a good thing to go against dr orders.
