Could this possibly be twins in the same sac? ~Dani Due October 22; Mississippi 12 posts

I am currently 10 weeks pregnany with my second child. My 1st son is 9 1/2 months old. Well this pregnancy is of course a BIG surprise. I'm hoping I am not in for another shock factor of this surprise. I am showing way bigger than did with my first (Like I look 4 months pregnant at only 10 weeks) and to top off my concerns I've had a handful of people say something doesn't look right with my ultrasound picture...as in the embryo looks awfully big for (7 weeks at the time) and it looks like another one is hiding behind the first. Twins run in my family and also my fiances. There is clearly not 2 sacs showing on the u/s...but just wanting other opinions (specifically mama's of twins) if they too see twin on this u/s? I am in freak out mode at this point and don't want to wait 2 more weeks until I go to my OB again...and I also don't want to call next week and be like "ughh I think your tech missed a baby on the u/s" and look like an idiot. Thoughts and opinions on what you see?

You have to copy the image URL (image address if you're on a mac), open the "image" tab above the text box, and paste the URL in the space that shows up.

I only see one baby but if you are saying that ultrasound was from 7 weeks, then it is pretty big for 7 weeks.

Yeah, I skimmed when I first posted, so I thought it was 10 weeks, but for 7 weeks it seems odd to me...you can't even pick much up at that point. Is it possible you're further along than you thought? Because I don't think even a twin pregnancy would show up that big at 7w.

The circle thing at the top could be a yolk sac. I just had an 8 week ultrasound, that had a extra circle; that is what the tech said it was.

ETA: I did not see a yolk sac in either of my 8 week u/s with my previous LO's, so this was weird to see...but you never know, you could have two more bundles on your way;)

This was exactly 7 weeks 5 days. I had to go back 2 weeks later because when I first went by LMP I should have been 7 weeks..but measuring 5 weeks on u/s. It was a TINY bean and no heart beat. 2 weeks exactly later I went and measured 7 weeks 5 days with a strong heartbeat. It looks like a body behind a body and several people have told me from what they see it looks like 2 bodies with 1 hiding behind the first. This u/s at 7 weeks looks NOTHING like my first sons u/s pic at 7 weeks. I don't know..it's so confusing.
