Biracial Girl Help??? de--activated Andorra 715 posts

So I have mixed hair of black/white and I wash my hair and blow dry straight once of week because I need the natural oils for my dry scalp plus my hair can go at least 4-5 days before it even gets oily or dirty. I borrowed my Aunt's blow dryer this weekend to do my hair it worked great it just doesn't have a name of on it so I don't even know the brand (she doesn't remember). Since my hair is so thick and curly it takes a while but what I'm asking is what blow dryer would you recommend for thick biracial hair? I need something that can make my hair look like this when I'm done.

It's not so much the brand of blow dryer. Its how you dry your hair. I advise on getting a good round brush and learning to use it. Round brushing can make all the difference. When I worked in the salon, I did a loooooot of black ladies hair, and lemme tell ya boar bristle round brushes are amazing!

I use Helen of Troy (or something like that)
Idk what you mean by thick biracial hair exactly, I'm black and white and have curly hair and it looks like yours in the pic after I flat iron it.
My best advice: go to Sally's. They have a handful to pick from, and probably 80% would do what you're trying to accomplish.

just a tip: I've learned that putting leave in conditioner in your hair before you blow dry works miracles.

Thank you, I heard the ionic is good I def need one with the diffuser since it won't blow dry my hair all over the place and this wasn't only the blow dryer I use an instyler as well after.. no flat iron it just makes my hair look stiff while the instyler gives smooth waves like this for a finish touch, you should try it, works great.

Boar brushes? I'm going to look into it. The brush I used when I did my hair that day was giving out I need to get a new one thanks for the tips. Would you recommend large or medium for my hair?

I mean thick as in when it's wet and I just let it air dry it's horrible to comb through and it gets like a lions mane lol so I blow dry because it's easier to work with. Thank you I was thinking that as well I just ordered this chocolate deep conditioning hair mask from Amazon. It's called Le'Moka and I hope it works because I need something thick to help with my dry roots and scalp this hair to make it look like that is hard work, takes 1 1/2hrs to dry. I need a blow dryer with A LOT of heat to blow dry a bit quicker being a mom and all I don't have much time.

Well I had an ion straightener and it made my hair really smooth.. It's supposed to control the frizz, but I'd always put some garnier fructis in my hair before blow drying it that was for frizz and it helped
