Thank you, hun. I'm half Cherokee so it would fit in my side of the family lol.

Only thing that matters is, is what you and SO want. Name your child what you want and feel is best for him/her. :)

Ashley use to be a boy's name, so did Audrey are they common for that now? No in fact they are common as girls name's. I think there is so many interpretations on names these day's that really it doesn't matter it matters whether you like the name and choose to use it. In fact my 4 yr old son is named Rayne not common as a boy's name, but it fits and he loves his name.

Okay, read again where I said MOST baby name websites.
It doesn't take a genius to write a baby book either. Someone could write one, put "Milk" in it and say that its a boys name that means handsome prince.
There is no rules for baby name books, and most baby name sites allow users to submit whatever they want and they aren't based on ANYTHING.

Quoting Moon*Siren:" No, its a boy's its on several sites as a boys name and my hubby shortened it from Hezekiah. http ... [snip!] ... we just chose to spell it closer to Hezekiah with the H at the end instead of adding a Y."

That's 'cause Zakiya is just a made up name and Zakiah is a real girls name that's Hebrew and means pure. Why not just use Hezekiah which is a totally cute boy name :)

Rain is unisex. Audrey was never a boy's name--Aubrey was.

You're okay with your son having a feminine name?

Thanks hun, thats what I always say lol, I'm carrying this baby and pushing it out so I'm naming him lol. Some ppl just dont get that and that what sounds "girly or stupid" to them may not to someone else. everyone has their own preference and that's what makes us all unique. :D

I agree about using Hezekiah and calling him Kiah, Zeke, or Zekiah.

Then why did you ask for opinions? Zakiah being a girl's name isn't opinion--it's a fact.

What sound's feminine to you may not to others just saying. I only asked on nicknames not on my baby's actual name.

Asked an opinion on a NICKNAME! NOT THE NAME ITSELF.

It doesn't sound feminine but it's a girls name... just saying.
