I put raw veggies in with raw meat frequently...there is nothing wrong with it!

When I make pot roast, it says on the instructions to add the veggies before cooking!

Have you tried to teach him how to cook or cook together? Cooking together might not offend him as much. DH and I cook together a lot of times but he knows how to cook certain things I teach him how to cook others.

I tried to cook with him the other night but he insisted on cooking everything himself..he even threatened to not eat if I helped him..

LOL you don't have to cook the meat prior to putting it in a crock pot. That's kind of the purpose of the crock pot.

The only way I use the crock pot is by putting raw meat in. If you cook it first it will over cook.

What kind of meat and veg did he put in? You can put raw meat in, some things it's better to sear first, but you can.

Idk, at least he tries?

Cooking the meat before you put it in a crockpot totally defeats the purpose of the crockpot itself. It's supposed to be "easy." It's a "slow-cooker." The meat is way better cooked in a crockpot!
