my mom thinks I should but my problems are much deeper. It all starts with daddy issues which I have gotten counseling for. He ended up throwing something at me while i was holding our son and thats the straw that broke the camels back for me

Don't be hard on yourself, give him a chance otherwise you will regret. You have to forget your past relationships and sometimes being alone does not heal you. I have been alone for months and I haven't changed much. So if I were you, I would give him and yourself a chance.
