Bleeding for 3 weeks. Rainlullabies Japan 2 posts

I had my period, it came and went normally. Then a week later I started to bleed again, but it was very light...only present on toilet paper when I wiped. After a couple days it progressed, and I woke up one morning to blood everywhere, including clots. This lasted a couple days and then it stopped, but for maybe 24 hours and it started up again. This has been going on for 3 weeks now. I woke up this morning, thinking this was all over, went to the bathroom and once again quite a bit of blood was present :(

I've also experienced a burning sensation in my right ovary, as well as a jabbing pain in the left ovary. The other night my boyfriend was freaking out because I just started bawling because of the pain.

I don't have a vehicle and the only people who can give me a ride work. So I haven't been to the doctor. My parents will take me to the ER, since Planned Parenthood is closed weekends...but will the ER be able to do anything?? And can I request a woman for the exam?? I'm nervous bc I've never had one done before and I'm 20. I know I am waaay overdue for an exam, but I have bad anxiety and have always been too scared to go, but I now have no choice.

Do I need to go to the hospital today? Or can I wait until sometime this week to go to PP clinic? As I write this I'm experiencing that burning sensation in my ovary and it's quite bothersome :(

Someone please help. Just give me an opinion,

Hospital for a period :?
No, just take a paracetamol and put a pad on.If it's that painful you could go to the doctor and see if they could give you anything for it?

Yea I would definitely go into the ER. For all you know whatever is causing this could get worse with time. You can request for a woman but it may not happen depending on availability. You may have to get over that for your healths sake. They can exam inside as well as do an ultrasound to look at your ovaries.

It could be bursting cysts on your ovaries but your will not know for sure.

I would def go in! That bleeding doesn't sound normal. Are the clots bigger than a quarter?

I would be afraid of cysts!

I'd wait it out, but I also hate the hospital. Haha even when I broke my leg in half it took me a week to go. It sounds like you have be miscarrying, go to pP first thin tomorrow! Good luck

I would go in. If you're bleeding out into a bed, it's way more than a period. Three weeks is way too long.

The clots are actually fairly small, but quite a few of them.
The biggest one was probably a Tad smaller than a dime.

And thanks everyone. I am probably gonna try and wait it out...I'm sure I can get a ride to Planned Parenthood in the morning. If it gets worse, or I just get impatient lol, then I'll go up to the ER which isn't even 5 minutes from my house.

Also, I have had unprotected sex with my boyfriend for 5 years and we've never gotten pregnant. Sex is often times painful as well. Maybe these things relate to what I'm experiencing now?

It sounds like a cyst to me.

If you read what she wrote, it doesn't sound like a period. :?

Sounds more like cysts...but I don't know. Try to get in with a doctor, the ER could help you but you need a doctor that can do follow up appointments after blood work and exams.
