Spaghetti, more specifically, the sauce. I start with 2 diced onions, a pound sliced mushrooms, and 3 diced garlic cloves, and 1 or 2 zucchini/squash, sliced and then the slices quartered, and 2 cans of plain spaghetti sauce. In a large pan, I put in the zucchini/squash first, cooking them in olive oil. When they're about halfway done, I add in the onions, mushrooms, and garlic. I cook until the zucchini/squash are barely done, and the onions are soft and turning brown. In a large pot, I pour two big cans of plain spaghetti sauce, add all the vegetables plus some crushed tomatoes, and simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
Everybody loves it, even picky-eater kids have eaten a whole plate.

I've actually been learning to cook more lately.
I've nearly perfected my lasagna! I've made it twice and both times I was short on sauce, but I won't be next time. So I think it will soon be my specialty!

But I'd say my long standing specialty is homemade chili. Delish.
