Quoting Just Ames:" ...except at 8 weeks it will be a d***o cam. NO THANKS."

They did that on me when I miscarried my twins, those things suck! And I bled worse, they sent me home with pain meds said "your going to lose them anyways so here this will make you comfortable" and 10 mins after I got home lost 1 twin and 5-10 mins after that lost the other.

That's a crappy bedside manner. I have had one bad miscarriage experience, with a NP in the ER 13 months ago. She was just completely uncaring. The other two I was given pain meds, but was never told 'well, you're going to miscarry anyway, so just go on home and take this." I hate hearing those kind of stories from other women.

Yeah, it was awful, my mom jumped all over that doctor and told him he was be an insensitive jerk and should be more caring to their patients. That made me feel worse about the whole situation.

What is your blood type? I got into a car accident at 10 weeks the ER sent me home like nothing wrong had happen! It was my wedding day! That night I woke up with some cramping and spotting and I called my doctor the next day. He checked my blood type told me it was negative and that I needed to get to an emergency room and get a shot of RhoGAM! I would definitely going get checked out!

I would go in & get checked. I got in an accident when I was 6 months pregnant with my daughter. I know it's a bit further along than you are but they did & ultrasound just to make sure everything with her was okay & I had no bleeding.

Before the second trimester, a car impact will not really affect the baby as much as it would later on. If you do miscarry, I would not attribute it to the wreck. Good luck, hope everything is okay.

My general rule of thumb is "If you are pregnant and it involves blood, go in." Period.

UPDATE*
I went in waited 6 hours, got a pelvic exam, and an abdominal ultrasound (they were able to see the baby that way so didn't need transvaginal one). I got blood work, and since I am RH- A shot of Rhogam. It was a super long day but the baby is doing good HR showed at 176 on the ultrasound!!
