2 days past my due date and I had decreased movement and I thought my water broke last night so we went into the hospital. My water didn't break and the baby sounds wonderful. I asked my midwife to sweep my membranes and do a stretch. I'm hoping for a vbac so I thought this would help encourage my body. Anyone do this for a vbac? Did anyone find the pelvic pain worse then before? I was only dilated at 2 cm before the stretch. The pain in my pelvis is so strong I cant tell if and when the contractions are coming. Thinking a hot bath and wrapping up in an electric blanket for comfort.

Quoting mbowman:" 2 days past my due date and I had decreased movement and I thought my water broke last night so we went ... [snip!] ... I cant tell if and when the contractions are coming. Thinking a hot bath and wrapping up in an electric blanket for comfort."

i didnt do a vbac, but with DS i had a stretch and sweep on my due date and started contracting by late afternoon. had him less than 24 hrs later with less than 2 hrs of active labor.
i was 1-2cm when she did it and havent had a single contraction prior.

Nothing as of yet. I got another sweep and stretch yesterday and the cramps are much worse and I'm still cramping today. The blood has gone from brown to a pink colour, and heavier. I emailed my midwives, hope to hear something back. I'm getting more bh then anything else. The baby is moving LOTS! I'm not worried but my hubby is. I'm not expecting anything since it's been a month of being on the edge of our seats with all the false starts we have had.
