Inconsolable while passing gas and pooping Belle. TTC #2 TTC since Oct 2013; 1 child; Alberta 3445 posts

My son seems to have a really hard time pooping and at night time it seems the worst. He will scream and cry in pain and when I bicycle his legs he screams harder. He is having normal, "healthy" looking poops though. They are yellow and medium consistancy. He just seems to have REALLY bad gas. Could it be a bigger issue than just gas?

i would probably take him to a doctor just to be on the safe side! do you breastfeed or formula feed?

Breastfeed. I've dealt with foremilk/hindmilk imbalance but it doesn't seem to be that because usually when there is an imbalance he has green poop. So I really don't know what's wrong :/

He might have an intolerance to something in your diet, but I would check into it too. I had a friend whose son did the same and he had some sort of digestion issue. They had to give him all sorts of laxatives and enzymes or he would just sit there and cry the whole time he pooped. :( Hopefully it's nothing, though! Good luck!

Are you sure it's not just good ole fashion colic? My two youngest had it. HELL for all of us. I dont recall anything specific to pooping though.. definitely the gas.
