I feel like my son is super clingy. I have a couple friends whose babies are happy and content playing with themselves and they will play in their bouncers or jumpers. My son demands my constant attention. He only naps when I hold him, if hes in his jumperoo he has to be right in front of me, I cannot leave him alone or he goes crazy. It has become so hard to get things done because he throws a fit when I put him down. I do wear him but there are things I cannot do with him plus I am pregnant and its getting uncomfortable. He is 6 months old and I love that hes attached to me but I need to be able to do other things besides hold him.

My son is pretty content doing things on his own. But when we are out in public and stuff he tends to make strange and likes to cling to me lol

My son was content to play independently as long as he could hear/see me. I ha to make sure he was within earshot of me so I could sing or something and he could hear me.
My daughter needed to he in my arms 24/7 until she started beig able to at up on her own, which was around 6 months. Then she was content to play intense toy with a toy or something for a little while as long as I could get back to her within a few seconds if she needed me. She is 2yrs 3mnths now and still prefers for me to be in sight of her at all times lol.

My son was pretty content being by himself but he did go through stages where he wanted me to hold him and I had to be in his sight.

DS is like that and he's almost 10 months. Drives me nuts some days! But I heard once they are mobile, it gets easier in most cases.

my son is also very cliingy and has to be everywhere i am. its a little easier now that he can crawl and he can follow me, but its still hard and he hated all the bouncy and jumperoos.

This is true. I've noticed now that he's crawling he doesn't need as much attention. He'll play on his own now. :D

Dd was super clingy but I had stuff to clean (we lived with my inlaws when she was younger so it wasn't really an option to just leave it lol) so I just put on music and made sure to go into the living room a lot so she knew I was always coming back. Now that shes walking she wants nothing to do with me lol

Ugh, jealous! Not true for us. DS crawls like a champ and he's about to start cruising...but he'd still rather be held all day. And he's heavy! lol.

DS isn't clingy at all :( The only time he "needs" me is when he's hungry or is tired. He's perfectly happy playing on his own...sometimes I think he prefers it.
