We did DH's test yesterday. My doctor wanted a complete SA on him to see what his sperm were doing. And to my amazement he is actually good. His sperm are fine. All his numbers or over the minimum range they go with. He either triples or quadruples the base number (which is the lowest number they will take as good). It wasn't even a full 48 hour hold. He has 33mil sperm per ml with 68% progression. He has 16% which are normal which is 4x the amount they base normal sperm to be. They require at least 4% to be normal. So he's good. I was sure I was messed up so now I know it's me and not him. Waiting for my vitex to come in today by mail. Waiting for AF to start so I can get my tests done.

Just got off the phone with the fertility specialist. She went over his results with me and said his levels are low. Not too too low but she wants to see at least 40 million. he has 33. So he's not far off. He only held for 38 hours when I counted back. We can't repeat the test until next monday so starting tonight he's going to start taking prenatals since the vitamins in there help with sperm health. We're going to hopefully get into a exercise routine but our work schedules kinda make it hard. Not so much his but mines. He is also going to quit smoking even though he doesn't smoke that much. I'm just so frustrated it ain't even funny. Looks like we're going to start bding every 2 nights instead of every night because his levels were low after 38 hours so we need more than 48 in between. It friggin sucks!

so it must be you then, your vaginal fluids might be killing the sperm before they get to the egg, hence why your eggs are not getting fertilized :(

I know it is me but the doctor said with his levels it could be a bit of both of us. She's not saying much on me since we didn't do my lab work yet. Still waiting on AF. I've got some preseed in the cabinet i bought. Once I get on the vitex and I see I'm ovulating again I'll start using it that way there is sperm friendly stuff in there. Also his viscosity is high which means his semen is too thick. It doesn't liquify like it's supposed to. So I got him drinking 4 bottles of water a day. I'm going to do the same. We have to get his test redone. I got some vitamins and he started taking them this morning. We will redo the test on the 22nd since the next fertility day isn't til the 24th. She can call me with the results on that day. I hope to see some improvement. She wants 40 mil. If I can see it improve by 5 mil I will be happy. That'll give him 38 mil per mL which is right there with what she wants. He is not that far off. Most of his levels look good. We don't know if the abnormal sperm they are seeing is just immature sperm which it could be. So we'll see. I hope to have answers soon. My vitex didn't come in. It was supposed to be here yesterday.

Thank you. My vitex finally made it's way to me. I took one about 2 hours ago. I will take another before bed. I don't know whether I should take it twice a day or 3 times a day since I'm not completely out of wack. I'll do twice a day for now and see how it does. But I also found out about MACA. It's supposed to help men and women increase fertility and libido which my hubby don't need an increase in lol. Just the fertility part. I will have to read up on it though to see if it can be taken with another vitamin. If it can then he will take the maca too. Since I got the vitex I won't need that one. But I guess pretty soon I shall see either way if these vitamins are the miracle cure.

Well I wouldn't be too nervous it's a good thing that you're getting the blood work done because now you can find out if there's a problem and you fix it. I truly wish you the best :)

Awesome that you were able to get it done. Still waiting for AF to start so I can get mine done. I ovulated when I should have been starting so the vitex has my cycle upside down for a bit. I hope all is well with your test. I know the wait is gonna kill you. I know it's killing me just having to wait to take it. Will you have to do the CD21 also? I do.

There might not be. It's all part of the waiting game. I think that may be a lot of our issues. We're so freaked about what can possibly be wrong with us and it's causing more stress than we realize. I know I can't friggin take anymore of this. I had some old farts talking this afternoon by my register and they were talking about their 2 grandbabies that will be arriving soon. I just walked away because I couldnt stand it. I almost told them to take their conversation elsewhere. I'm getting irritable too. For the last few days I've been that way. I don't know if it's because my hormones are changing due to the vitex or what.
