Well, you really should be careful when naming a child period. I mean, Candy, Barbie, Cherry, Diamond, Folatia, I mean those are all names that should be reconsidered. There are boy names that have to be carefully considered too, it goes both ways. I mean, Royalty, Glitter, those aren't good on boys either.

I know a little girl named Star... My mom may be adopting her and thank god she hates the name as much as I do and will be changing it. Her last name also has the word star in it so its even worse.

OMG Glitter...And yeah, I think that you have to watch out for names that sound like gang members or something, but I feel like you have to be more careful with girls, like there are more names, like Candy for example, or Brandy, that are popular names but still sound unprofessional.

 Folatia?

I don't think it's so awful to tell your SO that his kid's name is jacked up. There's nothing wrong with honesty. Sometimes maybe there's such a thing as being too honest, but some people don't have filters, and I like people like that.

Star sounds like a hippie name to me, which is also unprofessional but I tend to like hippie names, so that is what I will likely have to watch out for when I'm choosing.

Holly Madison's daughter's name.. Rainbow Aurora. I think she was hoping her daughter would have similar career aspirations as her.
Generally though I don't think 'stripper' when I think of a name unless it's something uber cheesy that reminds me of a stage name.

My legal name at birth was Cherry Snow. It was my great grandma's name-no she was not a stripper, ha ha.

I get what you're saying, though. Some names, I'm just like, REALLY? WHY? Nevaeh, Destiny, Starr, Bentley, Lexus, Diamond....naming your kid after something expensive normally means you're broke as balls.

I'm sure he didn't ask her what she thought of the name, so there was no need for her "honesty".

Car names typically remind me of porn stars or strippers, also food names, like candy.
Flo always reminds me of a waitress in a cruddy truck stop diner.

Thanks. The thing is, I didn't say it to be a bitch. I said it because we are trying to pick a name and I don't want a name like that and he wanted to know why. Her middle name is also one of the most common names I have ever heard, which is fine for them, but not for me. But people are gonna judge and it was tactless so whatever, I don't care. I said it, done is done. It's not THAT bad anyway, and I said that too.
