I did the same thing too. Ran into the store to get meds because Lily was super sick and they asked for an ID. I was all "Wait, what? I dont have my ID on me, but I am 29 years old!" The lady said "I cant sell this to you!" I had Lily with me and Im all "I dragged my child out in the cold to get medicine because shes sick. I understand why you have that policy, but come on, my daughter is 9. I am 29. She needs medicine.... please help me out!" And she finally did it, but damn, that was dumb!

Sadly, they can get in trouble for it. As much as I hate it, our policy at work is to ID everyone for alcohol. Even if you come walking in with grey hair and a cane. We have to ID them, or we lose our job. Not even kidding. We have randoms from corporate come in and attempt to buy alcohol... if we don't ID them, we get a red card and are terminated on spot. So that's why I don't get mad when I have to whip out my ID anymore... because I know it's their job to do it, and I don't want to cost anyone their job, yanno?

Op I had my daughter at 17, you wana know how many times people have given me shit for my age? NONE. Wanna know why? Because I've never acted like an immature brat and I've never ever flaunted my age. It's not something to be proud of, at all. My age doesn't define me or the type of mom I am. I'm a mom just like most of the women on this website. We go through some of the same struggles despite our ages.

Yeah I get Id'd all the time for alcohol since I look like Im 12. lol! But at that moment, Lily was SOOOO sick and Im all "If I have to drive home Im going to be pissed!" They see us in the store all the time, which is why I think they allowed it. I understand it, but when your kid is sick you are all "just give me the damn nyquil!" lol

I had my son at 18 and no one on here has given me shit... I don't really flaunt my age though.

True lol. I don't ID my regular customers... which can bite me in the ass, because a secret shopper can catch a regular before they come in the store and ask THEM to test us, and watch them from outside. Thankfully, I don't think any of my regulars would dog me like that

EXACTLY! Like I told her, we are all mothers. Unless shes going to harp on stupid shit and think she has it harder because shes a teen, then why only talk to teens? We all have had the "I need to study for college/need to do something for work" but our kid is sick and demands our time. We all have had friends without babies wanting us to hang out and we cant. We all get super tired, we all have moments where we cant buy that big awesome toy the kid wants.... EVERY parent has the same struggles. If you harp on ages you make it an excuse.... any time I see a teen harp on their age its because of stupid shit like "Im still a teen and need to see my friends but my Mom wont babysit!" Or "I really need sleep and my Mom is making me stay up, doesnt she know I need to sleep for the test tomorrow?" Or "My teachers are so mean, they wont give me an extension on my paper! I do more than other kids do, they have a basketball game but I have a real excuse, IM A MOMMY!"

Like really, there isnt that much of a difference unless you are using a teen parent excuse to slide through life.

Lol If I was a teen mom and wanted advice, I sure wouldn't have posted in all caps "TEEN MOMS ONLY". That's advertisement. You want to sound like an adult, grow up and act like one. You may be 16, but you are a parent now. If you don't want to act or be treated like an adult because you can't take it, stop making adult decisions and having sex. You're too young to be having sex anyways. Definitely not mature enough to handle the consequences.

I don't either. I've had several people find out my age and be like "I had no idea you were so young"

Speaking of which, I definitely thought you were older

Yeah I posted a picture of me and my son on here and some ladies told me they thought I was his sister at first and that I look really young  I think I knew you were young because I saw you post that in a thread like this before.

Yup, like I said to her, she is drawing attention to herself and trying to flaunt around as if its cool to be a teen mom. She says she wants to relate because ya know, life as a teen mom is so special that adult mothers have NO IDEA what they are going through!!!! **rolls eyes**

The only thing I don't understand is how shes a mother and is still acting her age. If you are a teen mom, well thats okay, but time to grow up. She hasnt grown up and it's going to be a disaster because her poor kid will be stuck in the middle of two teenage parents. For fucks sake, she's living with her boyfriend. She's not even of legal age to smoke a cigarette, drop out of school legally, or sign legal documents..... and shes living with her boyfriend playing house! Thats CRAP. It's even bigger crap that she is asking for SEX advice... her topic "How to get his attention" and she asks "I know there is a difference between sex and making love. But lately, neither has been happening in the bed. Any ideas on how to get his attention in bed??"

16 years old, playing house living with her boyfriend, has a kid, and asking for sex advice. Again, not even old enough to sign a legal document and shes living with her boyfriend and wanting to make her sex life better.

I bet by 20 years old she will have popped out another child.

I think 20 is awfully optimistic. I'd say 18.
