My husband's grandfather passed away 2 years ago and the both of us really looked up to him. He was a Bomber Pilot in WWII and was pretty bad @ss.....he bombed Berlin AND Normandy as well as over 30 other missions. If we have another boy we were thinking about using Hamilton for his first name since it's kinda hard to pair it as a middle name(tried with our DD before we knew she was a girl). Our DD was going to be named Emory Hamilton if she was a boy, but I wasn't IN LOVE with it. Both those names are family names. Anyway, do you think that Hamilton is a weird first name nowadays? His grandpa was always called Ham, which I'm not THRILLED about, but I do like Hamilton and I could get used to Ham.

His grandpa's full name was Hamilton Pennywitt. NOT using the middle name. LOL!

Our kids' names are:
Ashton Joseph
Harrison 'Harry' Lee
Shiloh Eleanor

I like it.

I'd call him Hamilton, Hammy, Pork Chop, Hamiltron, Milty. Lots of possibilities.

Hamilton Elijah isn't bad. Hamilton Adam. Hamilton Abraham. Probably need another old name to pair with it.

I like it as a middle name better. And it reminds me of the pig on Maggie & the ferocious beast. Hamilton Hocks, I think his name is.

I could so see my little boy Harry being named Ham or Hammy so I guess it could work. I'm sure he'd have the most hilarious nicknames, knowing my family. LOL!

When I think Hamilton I think dirty city that smells bad and is full of ugly factories.. but it's not an awful name. Just something I could never use because of the city.
