Probably not fascinating to most of you, but I collect antique bottles and decanters. While my dad was at work today (he works on a pipeline) he dug this up out of the dirt. It was made in Wheeling WV and is anywhere from 99 to 114 years old. He had to call and let me know he found a bottle for me. :D

That's cool! My bil collects old glass bottles too and it's neat to see some of the really old ones he has found.

I'd love to go dig in a place I knew there would be something. Since back in the day most people buried their trash, there's probably a hundred or so bottles that I walk on top of everyday! I'm getting a shovel out this Summer!

This is probably the oldest one that is "mine". I've saw older, but I'm definitely excited about this one. Especially since it was made in my state!

I have anywhere between 40-60. It's been a LOOONG time since I've counted them. I mostly have decanters though. I have that is a train, it's probably my favorite. None of them are really worth anything, but I love them anyway. :)

That's a great collection though!!.

Trains are cool. :)

I think most people who collect don't do it for the worth, for the joy of collecting :)

Yeah, DH doesn't think so. He hates them, but he gets excited for me when I get a new one. lol The train one was actually my first one. I bought a mixed lot in an auction and it was in the very bottom of the box. Sparked my interest and I've been collecting since. It makes it easier for everyone else, they know what to get me on birthday, Christmas, ect. if they can find one in an antique mall, or something. I've got some from all over.
