A few days ago my husband and I got into a fight and he hit me several times, to be fair I hit back. He has slowly developed a gambling problem and drug addiction. He has stolen everything of value I have including my wedding bands, twice. So today I took our 6 month old and left. My some miraculous form of mercy my car started and had some gas in it. Where do I go from here? I'm so lost.

Family? Victim Services? Women's Shelter?

Do you have any in your area?

do you have any family around where you could stay and get back on your feet?
if not woman shelters would be a place to try.

My mom lives a block away and she is letting us stay here. I have no job skills except child care but nobody to watch my daughter. I'm somewhat hoping that he will snap back together

He stared hit me this time but noticed I had the baby in my arms and burnt off on his dad truck. She is ebf and they get stressed out watching her. I don't know how safe she would be with them for longer then 20 min. Does anybody know a job type I could take her with me

Some day cares let you bring your kids with you to work for free.

Sorry you're dealing with this OP. Glad you got out when you did. Hopefully your husband will also get the help he needs.

A daycare center. They'll discount her daycare and you can bring.her with.
They may even discount it on your days off and you could have 2 part time jobs.

Would your mom allow you to babysit a couple children at her house? That way you can still make money and get some saved up and be home with your baby.

Not really but he lives with his parents and won't let me help him. He just storms off and pawns something else. I just don't know what else to do

Do you have family, friends, anyone you could stay with? Good for you for leaving, no man should EVER put his hands on you. Also, you were asking about a job where you could take her with you - some corporate jobs offer daycare programs, or you could try getting a job at a daycare. I'd also apply for an emergency order of protection, and file for child support. You may also be able to receive daycare assistance through the state. Sorry you're going through all this, but good for you for leaving when he crossed the line. Good luck hun, you CAN do it on your own! :)

Do not go back to him. As hard as its going to be it will be better without him. You & your child don't need that kind of abuse. It will be a struggle but things will get better.
