water broke? Stephy B Due May 10 (girl); 64 kids; Tennessee 226 posts

Okay, my dr said if my water broke with this stitch in, it would feel like a constant trickle of fluid. I have that, but because of the stitch I already have alot of discharge, so I can't tell if it's normal or not? I've been having contractions since around 15 weeks, so the fact that I'm having those is nothing new. I'm shaking pretty uncontrollably, but IDK if that has anything to do with it. Advice? I don't wanna waste anyone's time if it's just some more discharge.

Especially if you're at risk for preterm labor, I'd rather be safe than sorry

Do you have a fever? Is that why you're shaking?

Also, I'd contact your doctor and go in there is a ph test they can do to see if it is your water.

No, no fever. It's not shaking like shivering...it's shaking almost like nerves, if that makes sense? They already had to do that on me, and said because of the stitch, it wouldn't be accurate. I called my dr though, so hopefully he'll call me back soon.

Oh, I understand. I would be nervous as well.

Why wouldn't the test be accurate with a stitch?

IDK, I didn't understand it either. Something about since they have to actually put the test strip/swab in the cervix, they couldn't get an accurate read with the stitch in?
