Am I the only person who thinks shit like this is stupid?
tiger-stripes.jpg

You are not a f**king tiger.
You are a chick with stretch marks. And here is a newsflash not only moms have stretch marks. The only stretch marks I ever got was from being a fatty, not from pregnancy.

I am so sick of people being "PROUD of my stretches!"

By no means should people be ashamed of them, but they aren't some right of passage. SO SHUT UP!

I think any reason a person can find to be more happy with their life is great :).

Lol I think it's stupid too. Strech marks are ugly and I would never love them.

I agree that they're shitty, but when you carry a baby for 9 months, and cteat a life you have every right to wear them with pride!

I have no pregnancy stretch marks, but I effn love that picture.

Pregnancy forever changes your body, and when you do get visible stretch marks I can imagine how hard it is for some women, I think that picture is a great reminder that what we put our bodies through may not be glamorous, but we sure are amazing for being able to do it :)

Lol I hate seeing that everywhere, too. I have some stretch marks from being exceedingly fat and had I not then on top of already being big got pregnant, I wouldn't have half of them. If I could afford it, I would get rid of them in a heartbeat because they make me SOOOOO self conscious about my body

If stretch marks are your reason to be happy in life you have a problem. (Not YOU, but anyone)

I think you're missing the point.

It's about accepting and embracing who you are, where you've been, and the body you're in.

I'll agree, the "tiger" thing is a mouthful, but I wouldn't knock anybody for feeling inspired or empowered by it. Life's too short.

That's like saying I am going to be inspired by this scar on my hand because I was baking some f**king delicious brownies when I got it and then touched the oven.

Maybe. Your life experiences, your body, your scar, your choice to see it however you'd like.

You don't have to feel forced into feeling empowered by stuff like the picture in the OP, but if somebody else does, why take that away from them? What difference does it make to you?

I don't like mine cuz my stomach looks like a used paper bag, lmfao.

But I think spinning things in a positive light is a really admirable quality. Life's short, might as well be naive and happy.
