I didn't reuse towels for a month or 2. You don't want to chance it since it's such a pita

Omg I know what you are going through the only thing that kills them. is heat...so aslong as u washed everything and put it in. The dryer u should be fine. Just remember scabies do not live long on surfaces they needs a human host.....good luck....if u have animals u may want to treat them aswell for mange. It is animal form of scabies

If you washed and dried them in hot temperature, you can use them. Scabies die within 3 days if left alone because they need people to live on.

From experience and from what several sources say, it can definitely be longer than 3 days. I think she means using the towel to dry off, hanging it, then drying off with it again.

It was about that long in my experience. But I'm sure it can differ.

Aw that sucks! I'm glad that I didn't get it a second time. Did everyone in your house get it? I lived with my aunts at the time and it was like they were immune!

Yes! Although my son and I had it the worst. I get paranoid about every little bump I see on us now.

I had it when I was pregnant, so furtunately I didn't have to deal with my kid having it. That would be terrible. My boyfriend had it and ended up being allergic to the ointment.

That's a crappy double whammy. The ointment didn't work for us. We did it about 7 times over 3-4 months. What finally worked was bleach.

He tried home remedies first with no luck and he is also allergic to bleach. I think I had it for a month.
