Could I be pregnant? Brittany♥Gracelyn 1 child; West Virginia 879 posts

I've had the Mirena in since May and I haven't had any complications. I normally have been having a period every month towards the middle to end of the month. Well about 2 months ago I became regularly sexually active again. I bled like I normally have been around the middle of February. Then again very briefly, I mean like a couple hours, very lightly about 2 weeks after that (very beginning of March). And I've had nothing since then. Except for one time while having sex, again very breifly and light. Towards the middle of March I started getting headaches, nauseous, lower back pain, lightheaded, light menstrual like cramping, and started getting exhausted. So about a week ago I took a test and it was negative. I waited about 3 days and took another, again negative. Both negatives were fairly light.

Could I have gotten a false negative? Or does it sound like normal Mirena bull crap?

What does "both negatives were fairly light" mean? How do you a get a light negative? You COULD be pregnant you could NOT. Keep testing or go to a dr.

The line wasn't very dark at all.

My periods completely stopped when I had mirena in, so yours could be doing the same thing.

The negatives were light? How does that work?

It is possible, however unlikely. Are your mire a strings still there?

That's what I was thinking. But with the symptoms I was freaking out a bit. Lol.

That means nothing, the negative line does not test for anything, it's just a control line to show that the test was done/ worked properly and the urine went past the test strip. It would show up no matter what liquid went across it

I'm totally unsure. My doctor never told me what to feel for. My partner said he could feel them, but a few weeks ago he said he couldn't anymore, but i don't know.

I would probably go to the gyno just to be safe. I know nothing about the mirena but on TV it says pregnancy with the mirena could result in miscarriage.
