My kid never got still when I used a mobile... not sure if it's true or not though.

I've never heard that! Dd screamed her head off when we turned hers on so I don't believe it but its an entertaining theory lol

Some of them get still because it distracts them from moving, basically takes their attention off of the want to move. Others, it just doesn't affect. At least that's what I think lol... I've never heard of that, though. O.o

I could see it.. a lot of their behaviour is instinctual so it would make sense... never heard that before though.

Within seconds :) After the first few times, as soon as mil started winding it up (she refused to believe dd was afraid) dd would start to cry.

Omg, we are terrifying our children with these mobiles... they think they're going to be eaten, omg... lol. :lol:
