Maybe I'm just dumb. I dunno but I didn't think...
Sooo, a few days ago isla (2yrs old) and I were playing peekaboo with a blanket with aura (8months) didn't think anything of it at the time both girls thought it was great fun.
Like 20 minutes ago my kids are just chilling out, aura lying on the floor playing and isla just cruising around being a toddler while I was busying myself in the computer. Isla starts giggling so I look over To see what's funny and she's holding a blanket right down over Auras face, playing peekaboo I guess? Thank god I was actually in the same room as them at the time and saw what she was doing before she suffocated aura.
God I feel so sick :?
Scary. It was an honest mistake, you couldn't have known she would try and play it that way. :/
Dont beat yourself up over it, just explain how thats not how we play that game...i would have never thought twice about it either. Glad everything was ok though!
It was so horrible! Ugh feel so so ill.
Could happen to anyone. It never occurred to me that isla would try it. She actually had the blanket snug over her face and one hand next to each side of her head pulling it tight. So f**king scary! I think I actually dived off the computer chair. Never moved so fast in my life!

I bet. I'm glad you were there.
that is scary...I always worry about what other kids will do (we have a lot of kids in our family)
my 2 1/2 year old did that yesterday too...not to play peek a boo though.
i had DS on the floor for some play time and she was playing with her horses so i started picking up the living room and she started singing about how her brother is asleep and that he is cold.i turn around and she put the blanket all over him and his head and had most of her body on top of him too to give him hugs.... so so glad i was in the same room. toddlers get the weirdest, scariest ideas sometimes!
You're not the only one who wouldn't have though twice about that :? But now I have a whole other thing to worry about around my SIL's family lol they had toddlers galore. All's well that ends well, maybe tell Isla that you only play peekaboo with your hands and not blankets or something?
