Just because the pregnancy is "full term" doesn't mean the induction will go smoothly and without complications. If its your first baby your risk for c section quadruples among several other risks

Quoting Nikki babiee:" Well if he doesn't come by my due date I want to be induced . My Dr advised me that there's no need to wait anymore than 40 weeks if I ha went had him yet the baby is physically ready then ."

Your doctor's stupid and so are you for not researching it. Your baby could potentially be younger by up to two weeks. Inductions can lead to c-sections and are known to have bad side effects on the mom and/or baby.

Yes, 40 weeks is full-term but due dates can be off by up to two weeks. Full-term and term babies have ended up in the NICU.

It does suck! Pregnancy is not blissful joy for everyone. I dont know why you have to come down so hard on someone, you told her the risks, you did your part, now let her make her own choices for her and her baby.

Lol people like you make me laugh I'm stupid cause I didn't research it well how about before you go and put your 2 sense in about something that I didn't even ask read the conversation first cause I'm pretty sure I didn't ask any questions about my baby being full term OR any questions about getting induced . So who looks stupid now? Commenting on something we weren't even talk in about and FYI if you read the convo you would of seen that I DID research the other night . Thank you ;)

OP, at least know what drug he"s giving you.
I know someone who was given cytotec and it killed her baby. Be educated on the drugs you're given, cytotec can be extremely dangerous.

Yes, it does. You should care. It's your baby's health, and possibly yours, at risk. But ypu don't seem to care about that.

Why do you only respond to snarky comments and not helpful ones?

I mentioned it earlier and she said she was going to talk to her doc I think. My ob tried telling me it was safe but I knew better about that at
least....
That is so incredibly sad about your friend....my worst nightmare

I do reply to helpful ones. I had said earlier that I already did some research on it the other night and that I was going to ask my Dr more about it at my next appt .

I couldn't imagine going to the hospital thinking you're about to experience the happiest day of your life, only to have it become the worst :(
