We're 6 weeks PP and only breastfeeding. I was under the impression that it was supposed to act as a "natural" birth control (not that I was depending on it) but I was hoping maybe it would suppress aunt flow for a while. But there she is, after almost a year.. I stopped bleeding from the birth at 3 1/2 weeks so I'm positive. Sorta lame. Aunt Flow wants to come earlier then expected, but the weight wants to stay on later then I want it to heheh.
It's different for everyone. I got mine at 2 years Pp!
she may go again.
Some get AF right back, some go up to a year or longer
Good luck on seeing her leave again :)
and no, never a birth control, cause you will never know when you're ovulating.
i breastfed all four of my children and every time like clockwork, within 4 weeks after the pp bleeding stopped, she came and came at full force. lol
I got mine back both time around 6 weeks pp whole EBF, too. :(
I got mine at two months PP and we EBF too! It's different for everyone mama. It helped with my periods though, they were less crampy and shorter when we were still BFing but idk if the two have anything to do with each other, really
I bf for 8 months and got AF back at 4 months. Everyone is different.
Quoting Sofia's Mummy♥:" It's different for everyone. I got mine at 2 years Pp!"
Dang girl, that would have been nice haha. Guess it'll make it easier for me when I start back up on my BC though so I'm not left guessing o_O
When I EBF my daughter I got it back about 4 1/2 or 5 months... It was when she started sleeping through the night. However, I remember it not being very regular the first year until I got on the pill. DS is 3 months and AF is still a no show.. My sister got hers 6 weeks PP but my mom never got her for over a year. So I guess it's different for everyone :0)
I think I've gotten 2 periods but they only lasted a day each before disappearing again. Almost 10 months PP and still regular period free. Fingers crossed that this is the case for you.
