After I had Annabelle 6 weeks ago, I was so excited that I would finally be able to fit into my old nice clothes.
I lost all the baby weight, but now I can't find anything I feel comfortable wearing :(
I don't know what it is.. maybe a self esteem thing?
Whenever I put on some nice clothes I just feel rediculous, like I'm a mother now so I cant wear nice things, I have to wear grandma clothes.
I put on some nice jeans or something that used to make me feel good about myself, and I feel like people will think I'm a tart :(
I dont understand.
I've basically been living in sweat pants and singlets.
I just feel so so ugly.
Did anyone else lose their sense of identity after giving birth?
Will I find my self again?
Any advice?

Yup very normal. id look in the mirror and not reconize myself.. as weird as that sounds. it will improve as you get more comfortable in your new mama AND wife AND new self roles.

The truth is.. you arent the same person anymore and some struggle more than others. but its very common.

Obviously if you start feeling down or worthless you may want to talk to your doc.

Okay, thanks :)
Yeah I hardly recognise myself.
Its like I don't identify as a person now..
I'm not Kelly-Ann anymore, I'm 'mum'.

I felt that like that after my first but I had also had true grief from delivering my first because he was stillborn. right now it's time to find your new role as mom. You can wear cute things but I wouldn't go extravagant. Being a mom is a beautiful thing. I hope you can find yourself beautiful. :-) if you can't shake it off talk to your doctor.

You have done awesome to lose the baby weight in 6 weeks. You should be so proud of yourself. My son is 15 months and I have just this past few months felt good enough to kick the baby weight. Go out on a date with your husband somewhere nice so you have a chance to feel like you for a few hours. Buy some new clothes that look great and help you fit into your new role as a kick a** mama.

Thanks ladies :)
I was really amazed with how fast I lost the weight, I was back to my normal size at 16 days post partum, so I felt pretty good about that :)
