hi, my im 31 weeks 3 days pregnant, i work full time but as im only a trainee im on 2.60 an hour which puts my wage to just under 500 a month although im due to go on maternity leave on the 17th of april. so i'll be getting just under 400 a month, now im not asking for peoples bad opinions saying i get enough already. but i just want to know am i entitlted to the maternity grant? cos i know your meant to be claiming something to get it but because im working i cant claim anything until the babys born? im sure i'll be able to get it after she born if not. but it'd really help with the big stuff before shes born x

Why are you going on maternity leave so soon? Obviously you're in a different country than me, so that may be normal?

Oh ever so sorry guys, no I'm from England. I don't post on here often so forget there is a lot of other countries using it. And anybody can leave work from 29 weeks, its our own choice. I've decided to leave at 33 weeks cos I have a few weeks of annual leave left also x

I don't know. In the US, you don't get shit unless you have vacation pay built up.

Good luck, OP.
