Bowed legs and pigeoned toed. Complete with 2! 2 kids; Maryland 1486 posts7th Apr
My DD is 15 months old. She has been walking since 11 months. She has really noticable bowed legs and looks to be pigeoned toed that effects her left foot. She is very clumsy when she walks. I'm scared to death to let her walk outside with the concrete sidewalks because she falls a lot. I talked to her ped about my concerns at her 12 month well check and she looked at her legs to ensure they were both the same length and even observed DD walking and she didn't seem concerned at all. In fact she went on to tell him that she isn't bowed legged but I can't see how she thinks that, you can see she is by just looking at her legs when standing straight. I'm starting to get very concerned about her ability to walk. I feel like she should be walking a lot better than she does being 15 months. My oldest DD was walking, running and climbing so much better at that age and never had any issues with her legs and feet. I guess I am just looking for some reassuring stories from other moms, in hopes that it does and will correct itself. Thanks.
