Cutting hair at almsot 8 months? Krysthegreat 33 kids; Skowhegan, Maine 30 posts

So my hubby gave my 8 month old a buzz cut. He sat still and was a good kid. My sons crazy grandmother has been freaking out about it saying it's child abuse. I was wondering if what he did was horribly wrong at all? If it could affect his hair growth? I don't want to sound like a horrible parent over a haircut. :/

oh god, my kid went though spinal taps, sedations, having ribs removed, chemo, all sorts of crap.

A buzz cuts not going to ruin his life :)

The only thing that could affect his hair growth is trauma.
If something happened, and he has scars on his head, obviously hair will not grow there.
Don't worry, he'll be fine

No, your son's hair growth is not going to be affected simply because he got a haircut. You're not a terrible parent, either. If your son sat still through it, be thankful. My son barely sat through a haircut at 5.

Everyone is telling us that we're stupid parents and need to take parenting classes over this.

Why???? Hes your kid, if you wanna shave him bald and paint him blue, thats your choice.

Tell the others to mind their business.

So long as you didn't cut his head. Lol definitely wouldn't call it child abuse. Just a haircut at an early age.

Do whatever you want with your kid's hair. You didn't do anything wrong, and it's not going to affect the child at all. Tell them, to suck a fat one.

Not horrible at all. My daughters were still bald or had little hair until they were well over a year but had they had long hair, we would have trimmed it up. You are NOT a bad mom. People are ridiculous!

I'm jealous you have hair to cut on your 8 month olds head! My daughter is a baldy and I can't even pull hair up off her head... Lol :-) Def not abuse!
