You doctor told this to you but you didn't think to ask any questions about it?

they told me while i was in the hospital today. (not my dr.) i was in too much pain to ask how it was gonna affect labor. all she told me was that a normal womans cervix looks like a funnel. with the babys head pushing on the bigger opening of the funnel. and the skinnier smaller opening of the funnel at the bottom. she said that mine is upside down. so the babys head is pushing on the smaller part of the funnel. and the open part of the funnel is at the bottom. when she checked me she said that the bottom half of my cervix is 2cm dialated because of the way my cervix is upside down. but the top is closed still. thats all she told me. just wondering how it would affect labor if at all.

all that means is that your internal OS hasn't dilated yet. No big deal, it'll happen as baby engages and ultimately won't affect labor at all.
