Just a little confused here... TMI xxgingie Due November 14; Augusta, Georgia 5 posts

So I found out on the beginning of April that I was pregnant, roughly around 8 weeks. I have been having unbelievable pain in my stomach area and this brown colored discharge. About two weeks ago, I slipped on my boyfriend's stairs and fallen half-way through. Could this cause any problems? I don't know what's going on, this is my first pregnancy so I don't know what to expect. I'm not sure if stomach pain like this is normal.

Unbearable pain is not normal. Brown spotting is, it's your body's way of discharging the old blood.

Did you have the stomach pain before the fall? If so, then it probably doesn't have to do with it. Your baby is incredibly insulted in there. The brown discharge is old blood, which could be from a multitude of things. But if you're having that amount of pain, I'd suggest seeing your OB about it, to see what's going on and if it's just normal pregnancy pains or something else.

Some
Some pain is normal but paired with the discharge I would get checked as soon as possible

I had no pain at all before the fall, that's what's concerning me the most. I don't know what could cause the pain. The reason I'm concerned is because this is a lot of discharge as well, I've heard a small amount is okay. I just want to make sure everything is okay. I've been told my body would attack the fetus, since it sees it as something that doesn't belong. I have a hypo active thyroid, meaning my body has little to no hormones to run on, and my doctor still has prescribed me any medication for it. I'm scared of a miscarriage, the pain I feel in my stomach wakes me up at night.

Then I would definitely be going back to the Doctor to figure out what's going on. If your Doctor wants to brush it off, try and find a new one.

I am not sure if you're saying you haven't been prescribe meds for hypothyroidism or you have???

If you have, you should be fine and are at little risk of your thyroid causing problems.

But if you haven't... EEEP MAMA GET ON THAT ASAP!
I don't want to scare you but you are at high risk of miscarriage or your baby not forming properly (mental retardation, sometimes the brain fails to grow at all!) this is serious!!!!!

I think the pain can be a sign of a problem, but it could be completely normal as well. I had severe period like cramps in the first Weeks of pregnancy which scared me to death but they ended up to be nothing bad. The best thing for you to do is make an apointment with an an obgyn soon as possible so that they can do an ultrasound to make sure the baby is okay. If you can't get in soon then you can go to an emergency room and tell them of your pain and they will probably give u an ultrasound if for no other reason than to rule out an ectopic. at eight Weeks your baby should have s visible heartbeat on the ultrasound which will ease your mind. Good luck to you dear.

I was on my thyroid medicine & when I switched doctors, they never put me back on it. Even after I said something multiple times about it, they always beat around the bush. I think I'll go to the ER about it, I can't schedule an appointment with anywhere yet. I'm only 19, so I want my mom to go with me. I work with my boyfriend at a tattoo shop, so I can get off when I need to. My mother owns her own business so isn't as fortunate.

Pls op have the er check your levels and don't leave without a script or a referral to an endocrinologist for a script.

I have been to the er twice this preg and both time they checked my levels without any issues.

I wish you all the best and hope you have a healthy pregnancy
