ok so my son has a fever of 102.2, he has this really bad cough, ears are red, eyes are really gooey and boogery. but this is the 3rd time in a month where hes had a fever higher then 102. I feel like this isnt normal. hes also hasnt gained any weight in 6 months. does anyone know if i can take him to the childrens emergency department and demand blood work? and test? hes had blood work two weeks ago but only his pallets where high. idk i just think this isnt normal

What has his doctor said about all of this?

Sounds like a bad cold. I wouldn't really worry about the weight gain, it's pretty common for kids that age not to really gain.

My son is 3.5 and hasn't gained any weight since his 3 year appointment.

what is pallets? do you mean platelet? If his platelet level is high I'd want more answers and more testing done.

If you do bring him to emergency I'd mention that they were high in previous blood work.
But hopefully it's just a cold! Have you tried tylenol/advil?

He's underweight, and nothing really. I'm getting frustrated with this

Yah I would be too!

I'm not sure what you mean by "nothing really." but if you haven't tried tylenol or advil I would. To at least bring down his fever

I'd probably bring him to see the doctor incase he has an ear infection or something! And also ask more about his platlet levels too. If that's what was high.

I hope he feels better soon :(
