So I try my best to be non-judgemental, I really, genuinely do.
I try to look at things as though I could have turned out COMPLETELY differently had I grown up in a different environment with different parents, rules
I don't agree. But I can see where you're going with it.
Just because we're parents doesn't mean that we have to drop the things we like to do. Or hide them. JMO though.
I don't smoke. I don't drink.
ETA- I don't think that most post about these things to be "cool". A lot of people might be over sharers. Maybe they just don't care what others think. Who knows. But I don't think it's so they can appear cool to everyone else.
Well, I don't go out clubbing or anything. At one point I did though (every Friday and Saturday) I would post pictures in Facebook and check in.
I worked, and took well care of my child the whole week including Friday and Saturday. I don't see anything wrong with having a little fun for a few hours and posting pictures and shit.
BTW.. how is that illegal?
I know what you mean. I kind of agree. I just think that strictly because it is illegal, parents shouldn't do it. Just because you run the risk of there being issues if someone would report you or something. I don't think weed is bad though, I just don't go near it since it could get me in trouble and I would never want to risk that as a mom.
I don't care if they drink or smoke but it does disgust me when I see a photo of their kid one minute and a picture of them getting totally high or wasted the next next.
But I guess it's not really any of my business..I just delete people like that and try to move on with my life. I mean, my husband drinks on the weekends but he doesn't get trashed and definitely doesn't go around telling everyone on Facebook.
Meh. As long as the kids aren't being neglected in the process it's really not something I concern myself with. That said, yeah once in a while I find it a little ridiculous to be bragging about it. But hey, not my life.
While I understand where you're coming from... I don't judge a book by it's cover. If a person posts a picture of a blunt I don't automatically think they're trash. However if it's someone I know personally who spends every weekend partying instead of staying home with their kids.. then I do.
I smoke pot pretty regularly when I'm not pregnant. I don't boast about it on my profile but if someone asks me I'm not going to deny it. I don't think it makes me less of a parent or less of a person.

Smoking it isn't illegal. Actually here carrying under 28 grams isn't even illegal. Just selling and growing. A cop or CAS doesn't care if you're smoking a joint as long as you aren't doing it around your kids.
Quoting The Pretender:" What I mean is
I dont care if someone smokes, they shouldnt do it around kids simply because of kids shouldnt be around smoke.
But drinking? As long as the child is taken care of, who cares. I have pics of me holding a beer on the strip in Vegas right next to Lily. I don't care, Im of legal age to drink and actually think the age should be lowered. Drinking around your kids is not anything Id bat an eye at unless the kiddo was being neglected.
as long as my children are taken care of who are you to judge my life
Again, it's not the fact that people with kids DO IT
