Shitty way to start the day Turt McGurt™ Due November 4 (girl); 33 kids; Maryland 5476 posts

Soo today has been a shitty day already...it's only 7:21 woke up this morning when DH was leaving for work as usual at 6:00am See him to the door, and the dog has shit everywhere on the porch..so he stayed behind to clean it up, well in the process of cleaning it Sasha decided to bolt and run out the front door... DH can't chase after her cause he's late for work already. I try to stay outside and see if she'll come back since she knows where she lives, but DD woke up so I couldn't leave her in the house alone. Well next thing I know I go to try to look back outside again and there's 2 cop cars in the intersection (I live off a major highway) Sasha got hit by a car trying to cross the highway and now she's dead. :( I don't even know what to say really. How do I tell DH the dog is dead? I can't all him at work cell phones aren't allowed...I mean I could email him, but that seems kinda ugh....
She was a hyper dog, and worked my nerves at times but she was so sweet, and playful, and now she's gone :( RIP Sasha

I'm so sorry hun. That's gotta be rough. It's never easy to lose a pet.

That's awful, I'm really sorry you have to deal with that. Such a shame when a pet gets hit especially when they are a huge part of the family. I personally would wait till he is home and tell him then, rather than tell him over the phone or email. Try to keep your chin up, I know it's really shit, and it more than likely hurts like hell, but it was an accident and they do happen unfortunately. Try to be strong sweet. Big Hugs your way. Good Luck from across the pond x*x

I'm sorry about your dog. I wouldn't tell him until he gets home. My brother cried when his dog died and he was in his 30s, so you don't want to put that on him at work. If he e-mails and asks just say something vague like "we found her" or don't answer at all.

It's kinda hard to ignore him all day we usually talk all day via email, and then if I don't respond he'll txt or call me on his lunch... This sucks maybe ill just ignore the email that asks about the dog ...

I know that my SO would want me to tell him ASAP. So maybe send him an e-mail telling him you have sad news, and asking him to call when he can? I'm so sorry for your loss, losing a pet is terrible
