i have just realised for the past 5 hours i have been having braxton hicks every 20-30 mins tops.i say braxton hics as they are more tightenings than pain. they can have a small amount of pain but not the pain i remember from labour. i have now been timing them for 4 hours but can remember having them a good while before i even thought of timing.

do you think this could be the start or is it possible for them just to be practice ones still?

Sound like BH because they're so far apart and not getting closer or stronger.

Who knows! I had braxton hicks for hours straight 3-5 minutes apart for like the last 4 weeks or so of my pregnancy

I'd call the doctor and see what they have to say. I contracted SOOOOO much when I was pregnant that my OB ended up telling me (after a few trips to L&D) to come in if they got bad enough to where I couldn't stand it anymore, because they were almost always timable. Then I was put on bedrest. And then I ended up having pre-e and a preemie at 34 weeks...

Like I said though, I wouldn't go rushing off to L&D JUST yet if you're not in that much pain. Just see what the dr says. :)
